Remembrance Weekend Events

Unsung Heroes – Friday 7th November

Put together by a trio of folk (the Ridgeway Ensemble), with wine and nibbles, playing and singing compositions by WW1 Composers – some of whom were killed in the trenches – starting 7.30pm for 8.00pm – 9.00pm

Oh what a lovely war – Sunday 9th November

Community Singing and Poetry – extracts from the very successful Beacon Community Choir performance which they put on last March in the Church – with Tea and Cake refreshments – 4.00pm for an hour.

Donations are £5 for each, to go to Amnesty International’s work for Human Rights.

Children’s Activity Days

August 5th and September 2nd 10am – 3pm.

Enjoy a range of arts and crafts, whilst having lots of fun!

£15 per child. Pop in to CuriosiTEA rooms to book your place.

Adult volunteers needed too!!

Artists’ Network Bedfordshire

Artists from the Artists’ Network Bedfordshire coming soon to Ivinghoe Old School Community Hub!

Saturday 6 September, 10am – 4pm
As part of their annual Art Trail, ANB artists will be offering visitors the chance to ‘have a go’ at some basic techniques such as weaving, collage and printmaking. The aim is that you will have a mini artwork to take away! There will be a small fee to cover the cost of materials. Adults and supervised children are welcome to drop in and try any of the activities on offer!

Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 September, 10am – 4pm
For one weekend only, ten artists will be showing paintings, prints, photographs, textile art and mixed media. All welcome. Free entry.

Public meeting booked in on June 26th at 7.30pm.

Please come along to share your views on the proposed new 81 house development off Station Road.

Please note this is a meeting to determine a collective approach to this proposal from our residents and set up a steering committee to take the approach forwards.
