2018 Annual Chair’s Report and Treasurer’s Statement

Hello to all our Hub supporters!

The end of summer is usually marked by our Hub AGM.

Regrettably with the preparation for our AGM almost finished, cheese and wine in our basket and a slide show of photographs awaiting projection to illustrate my annual Chair’s report – and to avoid torpor – we suddenly had to pull out of the AGM on the same day. This happened because we had a family health crisis which is now resolved, but the date has of course come and gone. For this reason we are covering its content formally in several ways, including sending out the formal reports to honour our pledge of transparency.

Herewith attached the AGM Chair’s report and the financial report from our Treasurer.

Secondly, we wanted to thank all Hub supporters for that support and this has taken us a long way in courage to keep on being the voluntary trustees for the Community Hub. However we have all aged and ever since 2010, when we first started to save this building for use by this community, we have not yet had a real break. Tiredness has begun to rear its head, so we are bold enough to request that your support could gently become more practical. Like the Library and the Church, we also need volunteers to form an outer hands-on voluntary informal team that will give us strength, in the knowledge that we might call on you occasionally to muck–in and help us make certain things happen.

Please read the reports (you might need to put on a pot of tea to see you through) – it will take up half an hour -and then please give we Hub Trustees your feedback via an email, hopefully in time for our November 13th Trustee meeting.

We look to you – Hub users who gave us their contact addresses as our sounding board, to represent this Community, and Hub use.

Many Thanks,

Carol

Chair’s and Treasurer’s Report for 2018 AGM

October 2018 Calendar!

Ho folks! Looks like Autumn is upon us – no better excuse than to join us in the Hub for a warm coffee and some activity! Guides now regularly meet every Tuesday evening, the extended Music Classes are on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons – Simply Walks and Bridge on Mondays – Crochet, Simply Singing, the easy Exercise Class and Natural Pilates – and don’t forget Boxercise on 11th, and the Table Top Sale on the 13th!

Do please remember that we work very closely with Ivinghoe Town Hall – if you would like to book both venues for a larger event, then this can be arranged – also, you might consider hiring the Lawn from the Parish Council if you think parking would be required – we do have their booking information if you would like it.
